Basketball Recap: Loop Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Loop ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 25-23 win from a begrudging Longhorns squad. This was a revenge game for they: when they faced off against Southcrest Christian back in November, they had to take a 41-10 loss.

Loop has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Southcrest Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Loop didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-35 victory against Wellman-Union on the 19th. As for Southcrest Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on All Saints Episcopal School at 6:15 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
