Baseball Recap: Mountain Ridge Takes a Loss

Mountain Ridge was the 4-2 winner over Liberty when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Mountain Lions fell 9-4 to the Lions on Tuesday. Mountain Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Lions since Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain Ridge and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Liberty, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Mountain Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-2 defeat against Millennium on the 27th. As for Liberty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 4-2 victory against Pinnacle on the 26th.
