Meanwhile, Castro Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 50-49 win over the Highlanders.

Castro Valley pushed their record up to 8-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Bishop O'Dowd, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Bishop O'Dowd didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Castro Valley in their previous matchup on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 68-63 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop O'Dowd since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
