Basketball Recap: Olathe Northwest Takes a Loss

Olathe Northwest and Olathe North squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Olathe Northwest had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 57-40 to the Olathe North Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Eagles are ranked 30th).

Asia Lee was her usual excellent self, shooting 56% from the field on her way to 25 points and three steals for Olathe North. Lee has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lailah Boyd, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Olathe Northwest now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Olathe North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Olathe Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Olathe North, they have already played their next matchup, a 63-52 win against Olathe South on the 13th.
