Baseball Recap: Dimmitt Takes a Loss

If Dimmitt was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Friona last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats came up short against the Shallowater Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 12-1. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Dimmitt's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Shallowater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Dimmitt will challenge Idalou at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shallowater, they will head out to face off against Friona at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs are facing the Chieftans at the right time seeing as the Chieftans are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
