4A Conference 11 recap October 22, 2013

Millbrook scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Wakefield, 40-19. At the time, the Wolverines were ranked 15th in the state, while the Wildcats were 69th.

Wake Forest took down Heritage 37-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bryce Love ran for 188 yards and caught 2 passes for 16 yards in the win.

Evan Brabrand threw for 212 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 21-46 with 3 interceptions.

Brabrand put up the best numbers in passing as Wakefield lost to Millbrook. Brabrand's favorite target this week was Josh Lowery, who caught 10 passes for 117 yards.

Rod Sink's team's Brabrand and Lowery led 4A Conference 11 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Brabrand has thrown for 2,016 yards this season, while Lowery has 38 catches for 503 yards. Love from the Cougars leads the league in rushing with 1,251 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Leesville Road takes on Wake Forest. As it stands, the Pride are in fourth, while Reggie Lucas' team is in second.

Clarence Inscore's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,625 from 2,568. The improvement was largely due to a 40-19 victory over the Wolverines last week.
