Soccer Game Preview: Widefield vs. Sierra + How To Watch

The Widefield Gladiators will head out to square off against the Sierra Stallions at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sierra took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Widefield, who comes in off a win.

Widefield will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Mesa Ridge, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Gladiators narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Grizzlies 3-2.

Meanwhile, Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against The Classical Academy, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that Sierra have lost by exactly ten goals.

Widefield's win bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Everything went Widefield's way against Sierra in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Widefield made off with an 11-2 victory. In that contest, the Gladiators amassed a halftime lead of 7-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
