Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). They put the hurt on the Western Dubuque Bobcats with a sharp 71-45 win on Tuesday. Given the Lightning's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Western Dubuque, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
