Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Greyhounds vs. Western Indians

The Manchester Greyhounds will challenge the Western Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Manchester and 17 for Western dating back to last season.

On Monday, Manchester was beaten by Green 60-25. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 693rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 245th).

Meanwhile, Western played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Piketon and fell 51-16. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Manchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Manchester came up short against Western when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 55-45. Can Manchester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
