Soccer Recap: Grosse Pointe North Comes Up Short

Grosse Pointe North lost against L'Anse Creuse North back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Norsemen fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Grosse Pointe North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while L'Anse Creuse North are ranked 42nd).

Grosse Pointe North's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for L'Anse Creuse North, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Grosse Pointe North will head out on the road to challenge Port Huron Northern at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for L'Anse Creuse North, they will be playing at home against Sterling Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
