Volleyball Recap: Collegiate Beats Flint Hill for Their Fifth Straight Win

Collegiate hadn't done well against Flint Hill recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies, sneaking past 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won five matches in a row.

Collegiate had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-16, 15-12.

Clare Aman paced Collegiate's offense, picking up 17 kills. Aman got some help from Makenzie Weiss and her 28 assists. May Moncol controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Flint Hill, they now have a losing record of 11-12-1.

Collegiate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Trinity Episcopal on the 28th. As for Flint Hill, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Potomac School on the 27th.
