Football Recap: Benton Central Comes Up Short

Benton Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Seeger Patriots, falling 57-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the 51-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Max Strawsma threw for 109 yards and one TD. Bransen Jones was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Benton Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Seeger, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benton Central will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on South Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seeger, they will welcome Attica at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
