Volleyball Recap: Westside Wolverines vs. Vanguard Knights
Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Vanguard Knights.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-9, 25-5.
Vanguard got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kady Reeves out in front who had seven aces and 20 assists. That's the most aces Reeves has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Valeria Guzman, who had nine aces and three digs.
Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Vanguard, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-14 record.
Westside is on the road again on Wednesday to play ED White at 6:30 p.m. As for Vanguard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Belleview on the 5th.
