Volleyball Recap: Paxton Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Paxton hadn't done well against Wallace recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The matchup marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season.

Paxton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-11.

Addison Holm paced Paxton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Holm got some help from Hadleigh Kramer and her 36 assists. Jaleigh Hansen controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Despite the loss, Wallace still got an impressive performance from Briseyda Vazquez, who had 13 digs.

Paxton pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Wallace, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Paxton will challenge Arthur County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wallace, they will face off against Brady at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
