Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Miami Springs walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bishop Verot Vikings on Monday. Considering the Golden Hawks have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kevin Roque spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kelven Perera was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Magdiel Estevez, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Miami Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Verot only posted an OBP of .333.

Miami Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season. As for Bishop Verot, their defeat dropped their record down to 32-3.

Miami Springs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against South Walton on the 20th. Bishop Verot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
