Liberty Common has gone a perfect 4-0 against Weld Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Rebels at 10:00 a.m. Liberty Common will be strutting in after a win while Weld Central will be coming in after a loss.
Liberty Common took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over Platte Valley. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberty Common let Bryson Weibler and Raphael McDanald run wild. Weibler got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while McDanald got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Liberty Common is 5-2 when Weibler posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Lucas Wagner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Liberty Common always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Weld Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 9-1 to Resurrection Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rebels have suffered since April 30, 2025.
Weld Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Dinges, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
Liberty Common now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Weld Central, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Liberty Common has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Weld Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Liberty Common beat Weld Central 9-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
