Volleyball Recap: Lawrence County Takes a Loss

Lawrence County lost against Briarwood Christian back in August of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12.

Ava Templeton paced Lawrence County's offense, picking up seven kills. Templeton got some help from Alivia Terry and her seven assists.

Lawrence County dropped their record down to 20-17 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Briarwood Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Lawrence County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against UMS-Wright Prep on the 27th. As for Briarwood Christian, they will challenge Homewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
