Soccer Recap: Ravenscroft Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Ravenscroft and Greensboro Day School meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Ravens fell 3-1 to the Bengals. While losing is never fun, Ravenscroft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Greensboro Day School are ranked 35th).

Ravenscroft has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Greensboro Day School, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Coming up, Ravenscroft is taking a road trip to challenge North Raleigh Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greensboro Day School, they will host Forsyth Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
