4A Region 7 recap October 22, 2013

Olympus extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 7 this week by beating Mountain View, 41-16. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Timpanogos took down Murray 49-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jackson Dunford threw for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win.

The Timberwolves' dynamic duo of Dunford and Trayce Esteban proved tough for the Spartans to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Austin Seegmiller helped Timpanogos' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 89 yards.

He went 18-26 with 1 interception.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Orem's Tucker Camp and Nolan Gray have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Camp has thrown for 1,943 yards this season, while Gray has 63 catches for 940 yards. Coleman Meier from Olympus leads the league in rushing with 903 yards.

Entering into this week's contest against Timpanogos, Camp is short just 57 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.

Aaron Whitehead's team's Meier is a mere 97 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 96 carries Meier has put up 903 yards this year.

Orem's Gray needs only 60 receiving yards against Ed Larson's team to crack 1,000 for the season. So far this year, he has garnered 63 catches for 940 yards.

The Eagles are currently in third, while the Titans are in first.

There should be lots of points scored when Skyline and Olympus face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Stephen Marlowe's team comes in having scored 233 this season, while the Titans have scored 307. The Eagles scored 10 points last week as they fell to Tyler Anderson's team.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Skyline takes on Olympus. The Eagles have allowed 174 points this season, while the Titans have given up 136. Skyline allowed 24 points last week as it lost to the Tigers.

The Timberwolves led the league in scoring this week by notching 49 points on Murray. Dunford during the win.
