Soccer Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of East. If Lafayette were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to East when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for East, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Lafayette has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 defeat against Lutheran on the 9th. As for East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
