Cape Fear came out on top against Lumberton on Friday thanks in part to Tai Phillips's efforts. Phillips rushed for 78 yards and one score on only seven carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2024.

Phillips and Cape Fear will head out on the road to square off against Purnell Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
