Soccer Recap: Imperial Comes Up Short

Imperial managed to keep up with Calexico until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Imperial Tigers lost 4-0 to the Calexico Bulldogs. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

This is the second loss in a row for Imperial and nudges their season record down to 12-6-7. As for Calexico, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4-4.

Imperial and Calexico should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Imperial (ranked 391st) will meet Holtville (ranked 887th) at 6:05 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Calexico will challenge Southwest EC at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday up 614 places (93 vs. 707).
