Baseball Recap: St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders vs. Foley Falcons
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Cloud Cathedral ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Foley Falcons 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

Jake Murphy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Owen Fradette was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Sam Oliver, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
St. Cloud Cathedral hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foley struck out 11 times.
St. Cloud Cathedral's win bumped their record up to 30-14. As for Foley, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.
