Volleyball Recap: Ketchikan Takes a Loss

If Ketchikan was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Petersburg last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kings came up short against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears on Friday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Kings have suffered since September 6th.

While Ketchikan ultimately came up short, they really made Juneau-Douglas work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Ketchikan has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's still a better percentage than their 2-19-4 record this season. As for Juneau-Douglas, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-18-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Crimson Bears beat Ketchikan by a score of 3-0 on Saturday.
