Basketball Game Preview: Salem Rocks vs. Plymouth Wildcats

Salem has gone 8-2 against Plymouth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Salem Rocks are taking a road trip to take on the Plymouth Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Plymouth took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Salem, who comes in off a win.

Salem will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Brighton, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Salem strolled past Brighton with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 65-47. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rocks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 59th).

Nye Turner had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitch Paspal, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Plymouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northville.

Plymouth's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

Salem skirted past Plymouth 67-65 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Salem since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
