Baseball Recap: Point Pleasant Triumphs

After only two runs in their last game, Point Pleasant made sure to put some runs up on the board against Marietta on Saturday. The Big Blacks came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 13-9. The Big Blacks haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Carson Finnicum was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Redman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Point Pleasant's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Marietta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Point Pleasant will have a chance to go back-to-back against Marietta: the pair will be back at it again later today.
