Volleyball Recap: Lowellville Comes Up Short on the Road Against Labrae

Lowellville had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LaBrae Vikings. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9.

Lowellville's offense was headlined by Gianna Palumbo and Malena Sturm, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Natalee Macejko and her six assists.

LaBrae has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lowellville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Struthers on the 16th. As for LaBrae, they will face off against Cardinal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
