Ennis has gone a perfect 5-0 against Greenville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Ennis has given up an average of 38.6 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ennis duked it out with Midlothian Heritage last Friday. The Lions were outmatched by the Jaguars and fell 56-21. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Greenville scored the most points they've had this season last Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 55-35 to Poteet. Even if the Lions couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Even if they lost, Greenville's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Isaac Balderas was especially locked on to Poteet's QB and sacked him twice. Makkai McEwen was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks, forcing one fumble, and making six total tackles.

Ennis now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Ennis against Greenville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-15 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ennis since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
