Ellis came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Bucklin Red Aces on the board, marking their second-straight 7-0 shutout. Considering the Railroaders have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellis' win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bucklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
