Volleyball Game Preview: Windsor Warriors vs. Southington Blue Knights

The Windsor Warriors will face off against the Southington Blue Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Windsor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Glastonbury, who was ranked seventh at the time (Windsor was ranked 20th). The Warriors came up short against the Guardians on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

While Windsor was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Southington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Maloney.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.

Having lost for the first time this season, Windsor fell to 5-1. As for Southington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
