Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainfield Central). They took down the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses 71-55 on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Plainfield Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Dixon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Plainfield Central is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Minooka at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dixon, they will head out to challenge Rochelle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dukes & Duchesses will be up against the Hubs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
