Volleyball Recap: Chestnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Chestnut Ridge lost against Bishop Carroll back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Huskies. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chestnut Ridge took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-19.

Leah Vent paced Chestnut Ridge's offense, picking up 12 kills. Vent got some help from Emma Callihan and her 16 assists. Finally, Vent was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Chestnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-3. As for Bishop Carroll, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7-2.

Chestnut Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Westmont Hilltop on the 18th. As for Bishop Carroll, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Central Cambria on the 18th.
