Volleyball Recap: Lone Star Comes Up Short

Lone Star was the 3-2 winner over Caliche when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Longhorns fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lone Star sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-7, 23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11.

Leading Caliche to victory were Hayden Walker and Hallie Lewis. Walker had 17 digs, while Lewis had 20 digs, ten kills, and four aces.

Lone Star's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Lone Star is headed away from home for the first time to challenge McClave at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Caliche, they will face off against Peetz at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
