University is a perfect 6-0 against Bennett since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Tigers at 12:30 p.m. University will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

University is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let North Fork get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

University got a great performance from Aiden Solano as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Medardo Abrego was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Kaden Turk was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bennett, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past North Fork 5-4. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Miners recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

University's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bennett, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything went University's way against Bennett in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as University made off with a 13-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
