Basketball Recap: South Oak Cliff Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hillcrest two weeks ago, South Oak Cliff came back down to earth. The South Oak Cliff Bears lost to the Panther Creek Panthers on the road by a 62-48 margin on Friday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

South Oak Cliff's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Panther Creek, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

South Oak Cliff will square off against Sunset at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. South Oak Cliff is facing Sunset at the right time seeing as Sunset is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Panther Creek, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panther Creek Panthers face off against the Celina Bobcats at 11:30 a.m. on January 3, 2025. One thing working in Panther Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
