Griffith Institute and Tonawanda are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2018, but likely not for long. The Griffins will be playing at home against the Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Tonawanda better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Griffith Institute's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Griffith Institute really gets things going. The Griffins never let Global Concepts get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Considering Griffith Institute have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Tonawanda made sure to put some goals up on the board against Depew on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Wildcats.

The win (which was Griffith Institute's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Tonawanda, their win bumped their record up to 4-6-1.
