St. Thomas More has gone a perfect 9-0 against Olympia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Sabers will face off against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m.

St. Thomas More came up short against Bloomington Central Catholic on Tuesday, falling 7-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as St. Thomas More were already down 4-0.

Leighton Clark and Mary Katherine Kluesner scored both of St. Thomas More's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, Olympia gave up the first goal on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Illinois Valley Central 2-1. The victory continues a trend for Olympia in their matchups with Illinois Valley Central: they've now won five in a row.

Olympia pushed their record up to 8-9-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for St. Thomas More, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

St. Thomas More was able to grind out a solid win over Olympia in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
