Baseball Recap: Cimarron Victorious

The matchup between Cimarron and Scott on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Bluejays came out on top in a nail-biter against the Beavers, sneaking past 12-10. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bluejays needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Maverick Siek, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Simon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Cimarron is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron will welcome Liberal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scott, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Garden City at 4:00 p.m. The Beavers are facing the Buffaloes at the right time seeing as the Buffaloes are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
