Baseball Recap: Covenant Christian Takes a Loss

Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Athens Bible Trojans. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Athens Bible, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Covenant Christian has already played their next game (against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Athens Bible, they will head out on the road to take on West Limestone at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. West Limestone's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Athens Bible's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
