Baseball Recap: Sheboygan North Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Sheboygan North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Ashwaubenon Jaguars 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Golden Raiders: when they faced off against the Jaguars back in April, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Brett Rybarczyk was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has become a key player for Sheboygan North: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-14 otherwise. Rybarczyk was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eric Paarmann, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Sheboygan North's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Ashwaubenon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Sheboygan North has already played their next match, a 12-8 defeat against Pulaski on the 23rd. As for Ashwaubenon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Bay Port on the 23rd.
