Softball Recap: Madeira Comes Up Short

Madeira lost to Taylor back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs and Amazons lost 22-1 to the Yellowjackets. The Mustangs and Amazons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Mercer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Madeira's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Taylor, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Coming up, Madeira will head out on the road to take on Mariemont at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Taylor, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-1 win against Seton on the 28th.
