Baseball Recap: Olive Branch Takes a Loss

After flying high against Strayhorn last Monday, Olive Branch came back down to earth. The Olive Branch Conquistadors took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Senatobia Warriors on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Conquistadors in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Jovanny Castillo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Derion Harden was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Olive Branch's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Senatobia, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Olive Branch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-8 win against Southaven on the 1st. As for Senatobia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Cleveland Central on the 1st.
