Hiwassee Dam is 9-1 against Nantahala since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Hiwassee Dam Eagles will get right back to it and host the Nantahala Hawks at 7:30 p.m.

Hiwassee Dam is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Murphy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a 60-45 margin.

Meanwhile, Nantahala hadn't done well against Highlands recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Nantahala came out on top against Highlands by a score of 64-55.

Nantahala's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Hiwassee Dam, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-10.

Hiwassee Dam was able to grind out a solid win over Nantahala in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 76-63. Will Hiwassee Dam repeat their success, or does Nantahala have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
