Softball Recap: Hesperia Comes Up Short

If Hesperia was feeling good fresh off their 12-4 takedown of Burroughs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scorpions lost 12-3 to the Apple Valley Sun Devils on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sun Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on April 3rd.

Hesperia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaliyah Rios, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Hesperia has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Apple Valley, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9-1.

Hesperia has already played their next contest, a 17-10 loss against Sultana on the 24th. As for Apple Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 24-1 win against Burroughs on the 24th.
