Basketball Recap: Rossview Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clarksville, Rossview was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Springfield Yellow Jackets by a score of 59-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Springfield's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amaya Walker, who posted 14 points. What's more, Walker also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Xavionna Farmer, who went 6 for 15 en route to 16 points and five boards.

Rossview is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Rossview Hawks challenge the Northeast Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Rossview's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Northeast has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Springfield, they will head out to take on Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
