Baseball Game Preview: Dibble Demons vs. Hinton Comets

The Dibble Demons will head out to challenge the Hinton Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dibble has ten straight victories, Hinton has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Dibble got the win against Coalgate by a conclusive 16-4. The Demons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Kaden Barnett, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Skipper, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Hinton didn't have quite enough to beat Amber-Pocasset on Monday and fell 6-5.

Dibble pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Hinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Dibble's way against Hinton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Dibble made off with a 10-0 win. Will Dibble repeat their success, or does Hinton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
