Sierra hasn't had much luck against Liberty recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chieftains will challenge the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Liberty will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Sierra extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Chieftains blew past Fresno Christian 11-1.

Abby Bays was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Dixie Dow, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Sierra was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, while Liberty put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Yosemite. The Hawks were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Badgers. The victory was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on five straight.

Macie Webster looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Leilah Uriarte was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Aguayo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.

Liberty pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Sierra, their record now sits at 12-8.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sierra hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .389. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Sierra might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Liberty in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Chieftains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
