 Eagle River has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will  square off against the Service Cougars at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Eagle River: 2.8, Service: 2.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 Eagle River is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Alaska's top teams: Chugiak, who was ranked fifth in their home state at the time (Eagle River was ranked third). Eagle River fell just short of Chugiak by a score of  5-4 on Thursday. The  defeat   continues a  trend for Eagle River in their matchups with Chugiak: they've now lost three in a row.
  Dallin Roberts was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Gunner Mountcastle, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.

 Eagle River's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Service, their win bumped their record up to 15-0-1.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Eagle River has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.5  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Service struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 4.2. The only question left is which team can snag more.
