Basketball Recap: Western International Comes Up Short

Western International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-34 loss at the hands of the Oak Park Knights. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Knights are ranked 295th).

Western International's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Oak Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western International will face off against Douglass at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Park, they will welcome Lake Orion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
