Recap: Providence Catholic Celtics vs. Providence-St. Mel Knights
The Providence Catholic Celtics's five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They blew past Providence-St. Mel, posting a 68-39 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Providence Catholic has managed all season.
Providence-St. Mel lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Victor Norris, who scored 14 points. Lachon Adams was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Providence Catholic's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for Providence-St. Mel, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-12.
Providence Catholic will challenge Hinsdale South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hinsdale South knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Providence Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Providence-St. Mel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
